Fortunately, Consumer Reports did give the 2019 model a five out of five reliability rating.

Here’s the thing, as reliable as the Hyundai Santa Fe may be, it does have its problems to contend with. In fact, according to Consumer Reports, recent model years have faced issues with the SUV’s suspension. Other problems have included issues with the Hyundai Santa Fe’s power equipment.

Fortunately, Repair Pal reports that Santa Fe owners bring their SUV to a repair shop for unscheduled repairs an average of 0.2 times per year. Compare that to an average of 0.4 times for midsize SUVs and 0.4 times for all vehicle models, and that’s not all that bad. Further, according to Repair Pal, the probability of a repair being a major issue is only 10%, compared to an average of 13% for midsize SUVs and 12% for all models.

Now, let’s talk about how many miles a Hyundai Santa Fe will last. Fortunately, you can count on the Hyundai Santa Fe to last a reasonably long time. In fact, if you check out Autotrader listings for Hyundai Santa Fe models for sale, there are several models with upwards of 200,000-miles on the odometer. One Hyundai Santa Fe model, in particular, was even able to surpass 300,000-miles, which is quite the feat.

But, here’s the thing, not every Hyundai Santa Fe will surpass that 200,000-mile mark.
