The Honda Ridgeline is the best used pickup truck

According to iSeeCars, the Honda Ridgeline is the best used pickup truck you can buy. It has an overall quality score of 9.0, a full half-point higher than the second-place Toyota Tacoma. The reliability rating for a used Honda Ridgeline is excellent at 8.6 and it has a good retained value score of 8.4. Its safety score is the best, at a perfect 10.

So how much will you pay for a used Honda Ridgeline? For a three-year old Ridgeline you can expect to pay about $32,492. That’s less than you’d pay for a new truck, which isn’t always the case these days. A brand new 2022 Honda Ridgeline will cost you $41,198.

A used Honda Ridgeline has good fuel economy

iSeeCars’ study points to the Ridgeline’s excellent fuel economy as one of the best parts about it. It gets 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway thanks to its V6 engine. This is matched to either a five-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual transmission. The fuel economy of the Ridgeline is higher than most other midsize pickup trucks.

The Honda Ridgeline also has a unibody construction which makes it comfortable yet keeps the Ridgeline from being as rugged as some other SUVs. It’s possible that this contributes to the Ridgeline’s underrated image. It’s a pickup truck that handles and rides like a quality SUV.

The Toyota Tacoma and Nissan Frontier round out the top 3

The Toyota Tacoma and the Nissan Frontier take spots number two and three. The Tacoma has an overall quality score of 8.5 while the Nissan Frontier gets a score of 8.0. The Tacoma offers a reliability rating of 8.5, a retained value score of 8.9 and a safety score of 8.0. You’ll pay $34,803 for a three-year old Tacoma.

The Nissan Frontier may have the same overall score as several other trucks, but it offers stability across its score. It has a reliability rating of 8.0, a retained value of 8, and a safety score of 8.0. You’ll pay $26,184 for a used Nissan Frontier.

There are a lot of great used pickup trucks on the market but the Ridgeline is the best of them. A used Honda Ridgeline offers the best safety score you can hope for. It also has great ratings for both reliability and retained value, meaning that if you buy a used Ridgeline you’ll likely be very happy with it for years to come – and you won’t lose a ton of money if you decide to sell it down the road.
