The 2023 Ford F-150 is on its way and from everything we’ve seen so far, it’s likely that the new F-150 will be as impressive – and popular – as previous F-150s before it. That doesn’t mean that nothing will have changed for Ford’s highest-selling vehicle. In fact, there are enough new aspects to the 2023 F-150 that you just might be swayed to buy one. 

What’s new in the 2023 Ford F-150?

The 2023 Ford F-150 has several new features coming. Car and Driver says that Ford will be adding a Rattler trim level to the F-150 options for the new model year. The Rattler is an off-road trim that’s perfect for those who like to take their trucks on the trails but still want something that is suitable and stylish for the streets, too.  

The Rattler trim for the 2023 Ford F-150 will include 18-inch wheels and a dual exhaust. Since it’s an off-road pickup, it will also have hill-descent control, rear locking differential, and a suspension built for off-road. 

Also new for the 2023 Ford F-150 is the availability of a hybrid powertrain. This consists of a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 that can put out 400 hp. It’s powered by a 35 kWh battery and matched to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Ford says that this hybrid powertrain will allow the F-150 to go up to an incredible 700 miles, making this a very attractive option, especially for people who don’t like going to the gas station. It will also come with an onboard generator, making it great for work or camping. 

What will the 2023 F-150 look like?

If you buy the 2023 Ford F-150 Rattler, you’ll get special Rattler exterior badging. You’ll also be able to get it in various bed lengths and bed styles, similar to the current Ford F-150. 

In addition, the 2023 Ford F-150 will have an exquisite interior. Car and Driver says it will be using only premium materials and will have storage cubbies throughout. That’s ideal for anyone who uses their truck for work or has kids. It will also come with an 8-inch touchscreen, though larger screens are available to upgrade to. 

When can I order the new F-150?

The 2023 Ford F-150 will be available in the summer of 2023. You may be able to order it sooner than that, if you just can’t wait, but delivery won’t come until later. 

The 2023 F-150 price is estimated to start at $32,000 for the base model XL. The Rattler trim level is slated to be the next one up, at around $40,000. If you want a luxury-like pickup, you should take a look at the Limited trim line, which Car and Driver thinks will start around $78,000. 

Although we’ll have to wait to see what’s new in the 2023 Ford F-150, it’s likely that it will have everything that made old generations of the F-150 great. Plus, it will have some new features and trim levels that will make this a great truck for anyone who has loved the F-150 in the past and anyone who might love it in the future.
