Another significant difference between the 2023 Accord and the 2022 Accord is on the performance front. The 2023 Accord offers a new hybrid system. It generates 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque, which is a 15 lb-ft increase over the 2022 version.

The non-hybrid 2023 Accord models are powered by the turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder carried over from the 2022 Accord. It produces 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. However, the Accord dropped the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine from the lineup. Also, a manual transmission is no longer available. Like the 2022 Accord, the 2023 Accord doesn’t offer all-wheel drive. All models come equipped with front-wheel drive.

Furthermore, Honda made some enhancements to the 2023 Accord to improve its driving dynamics. This includes a retuned four-wheel independent suspension and an upgraded steering system.

2023 Accord vs. 2022 Accord: Revised trim lineup

The 2023 Accord midsize sedan has a revised trim lineup. For the 2022 Accord, the fully gas-powered Accord and hybrid version are sold as two separate models. However, for the 2023 Accord, they are all grouped together as one model, with the hybrid powertrain for the upper trims.

Buyers of the 2023 Accord have a choice of six trims: LX, EX, Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Touring. The LX and EX trims have the turbo 1.5L liter engine, while the Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Touring feature the new hybrid system.
