But the 2500 and 3500 HD models of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra are ranked lowest on Cars.com in terms of consumer ratings. The 2021 GMC Sierra 3500HD actually earns a total of 4.5 stars overall. Consumers give this truck 5 stars in the performance category. In fact, it gets 4.5 in all the other categories except one. For reliability, the 2021 GMC Sierra earned only 2 out of 5 stars.

The 2021 GMC Sierra 2500HD gets pretty high marks as well. It’s looking like just because these heavy duty pickup trucks by GM are rated the lowest doesn’t necessarily mean they are bad models. “Apparently the problem was fixed and when I left the dealership, within 8-10 miles the engine light came on and I received an alert via text to have “problem” taken care of. I am truly disappointed with GM as this is the second Silverado I have purchased within the past three years to have issues.”
