Breathe easy. You won’t find any spoilers here. You’ll have to see “Captain America: Brave New World” to find out what Sam Wilson is up to in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, we will tell you that Captain America has traded in his Harley-Davidson and Audi e-tron for GMC vehicles, most notably the GMC Hummer EV SUV.

‘Captain America: Brave New World’ takes Cap off the Harley and puts him into the GMC Hummer EV SUV

A decade ago, you wouldn’t catch Captain America driving anything other than one of the MoCo’s lumpy, lazy motorcycles. Captain America and Harley-Davidson in the MCU is a relationship that goes back to the character’s first silver-screen appearance. Since then, the star-spangled superhero has gotten around in everything from a pre-production C7 Corvette to a fully-electric Audi e-tron.

However, “Captain America: Brave New World” narrows Cap’s rides down from V-Twin motorcycles and Chevrolets to just one brand: GMC. More specifically, it’s the GMC Hummer EV SUV that steals the most screen time.

The 9,000-lb EV (yes, you read that right) is a dominant feature on screen. Massive weight and size notwithstanding, the Hummer EV is heroic enough for the job. At least on paper, that is. Testers managed to coax the obscenely heavy, 1,000-horsepower Hummer EV Edition 1 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds. That’s Porsche 911 Carrera speed in a monstrous EV SUV.

Of course, this isn’t the first time GM has partnered with the character to sell cars, trucks, and SUVs. The MCU shoehorned the Chevrolet Corvette, Impala, Suburban, Tahoe, and Malibu into the 2014 film, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” in the interest of getting the Bow Tie’s lineup some exposure.

Still, the Hummer EV SUV isn’t the only GMC-branded vehicle Sam Wilson drives in the film. Earlier in the movie, Wilson drives a GMC Sierra pickup truck. However, like the Harley-Davidson Softail Breakout that Steve Rogers rides in a past film, the truck doesn’t see much action.
