Georgia Mother Arrested After Toddler Found Wandering in Mall Car Park By Heroic Stranger

In a report from Georgia, a man came to the aid of kids who were alone in a car in the Town Center mall parking lot. DJ Webb sensed something was amiss when he saw a barefoot 2-year-old child walking through the car park, prompting him to intervene.

Webb was leaving the mall at that point when he saw the little girl walking alone. Sensing that she could be hit by a car, he stepped in and stopped her from running. He said:

“I was trying to grab her and keep her from running out. At that point, I said let me go get her brothers or whoever that is in the car so I knocked on the window.”

Unfortunately, her brothers, aged 5 and 7, were watching videos in the parked car and were unaware that their little sister had gotten out.

Webb recorded the entire event, and the footage later went viral online. While their mother hadn’t returned yet, the older brother of the girl, aged 7, could be seen getting out of the car to pick his sister up, stating that he was babysitting her.

“He said it with pride too, so he was being a big brother. He says, ‘I’m babysitting her. ‘I’m babysitting her,’” said Webb.

To save them from any potential danger at the parking lot, Webb called 911. That was when he realized how the little girl stepped out of the vehicle.

“The police said they was watching YouTube videos, so they had no idea she’d gotten out of the car.”

Eventually, the mother arrived with another older child and was arrested immediately. Angela Weichmann, 42, was charged with three misdemeanor counts of reckless conduct.

Meanwhile, the police confirmed that the children ate pizza at the precinct until a relative arrived to pick them up.

“Kudos to Cobb Police Department, they showed right up,” said Webb.

Webb added that he didn’t know why he even reached that parking spot and believed that it was God who sent him there.

“But I came here and I don’t know why I know why now. I believe God brought me here he needed me here,” said Webb.

MotorBiscuit recently reported another incident from Florida, where a man rescued two toddlers from the middle of a busy road in Brevard County. The incident occurred while he was driving down the road when he noticed two young girls wandering across the busy street, putting them in danger from passing vehicles.

Without thinking much, he immediately parked by the side of the road, then got out of his vehicle to rescue them. The girls had reportedly wandered away from their house, which was located nearby.
