He has been accused of skimming 653 credit cards, dating back to July 4, 2024. During this time, he was working at the Speedway store at 715 Brown Road. This allowed him to access tons of cards from customers during routine transactions.

According to My Fox 28, officers received a search warrant at Thompon’s residence. They found and seized laptops, skimmers, and tons of counterfeit cards.

He was charged with a felony 5th-degree receiving stolen property. If you’ve recently visited this gas station and your card has been compromised please contact Detective Kubiniski at 614-237-6333 ext. 1247.

You can tell if a card reader at a gas station has been tampered with if it has unusual damage, glue or adhesive marks, broken open security seals, loose parts, or mismatched colors. It may also have unusual malfunctions.
