Arizona driver has missed several days of work following a gas mix-up at a Circle K
Using gas station pumps is second nature. You go, get as much fuel as needed, and then drive away. However, instances exist where there is either water in the gas or the person delivering it mixes up the grades. This happened recently in Arizona, and now, one woman has missed multiple work days. This story makes drivers think of more than just cheap gas prices as these repairs cause extensive repairs from auto mechanics.
Using gas station pumps can be risky for several reasons, meaning cheap gas prices aren’t the only concern
As we reported recently, drivers in Phoenix, Arizona, were recently left with high repair bills after using gas station pumps at a local Circle K. Sadly, the person delivering it had mixed up the diesel and regular gas. Now, the residents in the area are still dealing with the fallout. According to AZ Family, one woman named Angelica Garcia was one of those drivers. Sadly, she’s still waiting on the claims process. She said, “I put $20 in, drove about five miles down the road, and my car started jerking like it was going to run out of gas.”
She went on about her experience at the gas station pumps, “I’ve already missed three days of work. I’m literally asking for rides from anyone I can. I’ve changed my hours.” However, other people who were impacted by getting the wrong fuel have been made whole. One woman, Nicole Marino, says she received a $6,200 check for the repairs. Of course, this will come in handy as auto mechanics charge quite a bit for the work these issues require.
In the end, more than 50 complaints have stemmed from the gas station pump mix-up. Circle K’s insurance company is working through the claims. Notably, drivers who were impacted will need receipts.
