Sometimes when a gas station is being robbed, it can be helpful to slow things down and de-escalate the situation. However, one clerk in Connecticut had to keep his cool as a man threatened him with multiple handguns and took off his pants.

Gas station clerk is threatened by guns as man takes his pants off

A man in Newtown, Connecticut was arrested for multiple different charges after threatening a gas station clerk with multiple handguns. The suspect has been identified as 60-year-old Vicenzo Ciocca of Shelton.

According to WFSB, the Newtown Police Department responded to reports of an intoxicated man who was waving a handgun around gas pumps.

They went to the Doddington Garage on Route 302 as the clerk at an Auto Stop gas station suffered through the man’s drunken antics.

Reportedly, Ciocca urinated around the gas station, exposed himself, removed his pants, and had several guns. But the man got in his car and started driving towards Bethel before police officers arrived.

Officers quickly spotted the car on Route 302 and stopped Ciocca. They blocked additional traffic and instructed other drivers to vacate the area. Ciocca was uncooperative, but officers managed to take him into custody while keeping the public safe.

Police officers shared that Ciocca was in possession of a loaded .380 caliber handgun and a loaded .357 Magnum revolver. He was charged with breach of peace, reckless endangerment, driving under the influence, and carrying a firearm under the influence of alcohol.

Ciocca is being held on a $100,000 bond. Hopefully, being behind bars will inspire him to keep his pants on.
