While it hadn’t received an update in a while, the Tundra is back and better than ever. The new iForce Max hybrid powertrain jacks up the torque to 583 lb-ft at 2,400 rpm. Combined with a 10-speed automatic transmission, the 2022 Tundra is unstoppable and fun to drive.

The 2022 Ford Maverick is probably the most apparent hybrid truck offering on the list. Ford put a lot of thought into every inch of the Maverick, making it easier to utilize the truck for various situations. The truck bed has 12-volt sockets, room for all kinds of lumber, and it is still compact enough to park within city limits. It also starts at $20,000, which gives you room to customize and upgrade what you see fit. Don’t forget; the Maverick also gets about 40 mpg in the city. Not bad for a brand-new hybrid truck.

The Ford F-150 PowerBoost is an expensive truck with a lot to offer

Despite the $80,000 price tag, the Ford F-150 PowerBoost is still a fun and efficient hybrid truck. It comes with the 2021 F-150’s Pro Power Onboard integrated generator, allowing you to power up devices should you need to. The hybrid F-150 will start to show savings pretty quickly, depending on your commute. You might think that spending that much on a truck is ridiculous, but you might change your mind once you get into the competent and comfortable truck.

The Hyundai Tucson Hybrid is a budget-friendly SUV

One of the more reasonably priced hybrid SUVs on this list is the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid. The Tucson is safe, earning the Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Plus, it has plenty of room for passengers, cargo, and the fuel economy is just another added benefit. It is even fun to drive and doesn’t look like a hybrid if that’s not your thing, all for under $30,000.

Those looking for a little luxury can find it in the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid SUV

The Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid SUV is an unassuming addition to this list. Most people don’t look for a hybrid Porsche SUV, but perhaps that’s about to change. This one comes with a 3.0L turbo V6 coupled with an electric motor to get a combined 455 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. The Cayenne E-Hybrid also gets 46 mpg when using the gas and electric motor, which goes down to 21 mpg when using just the gas motor.

Another option from the Toyota brand is the Toyota RAV4 Prime

The Toyota RAV4 Prime benefits from utilizing one of the most popular SUV names in the country. While it is reliable, it also comes with a reasonable price and enough fuel economy for almost att situations. The RAV4 Prime top-level trim starts at $41,425, but it is eligible for the full $7,500 federal tax credit.
