The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is the brand’s entry-level sedan and offers buyers an affordable way into the luxury market. However, the price for one can easily add up when all of the boxes are checked. Here is how much a fully loaded 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class can end up costing.

If you want to pick the highest 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, you’ll have to start with the Pinnacle 4-Matic (AWD) trim level. It’s the highest of the three available trim levels for the C 300 and has a starting price of $49,500.

What do you get by choosing the C 300 Pinnacle? Believe it or not, it mainly adds a navigation system with live traffic updates and a one-year subscription to map updates. A head-up display is included as well.

Otherwise, many of the options that most buyers would want, including the PARKTRONIC feature with Active Park Assist, Burmeister 3D surround sound system, and the surround view system can be found on the mid-tier Executive trim level.

What options can be added to the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Pinnacle trim level?

To fully load up a Mercedes-Benz C 300 Pinnacle trim, you can play around with the configurator on the automaker’s website. First, you’ll need to add an exterior color. The most expensive paint job available is the MANUFAKTUR Selenite Gray Magno matte, which is priced at $3,250.

After picking the paint, you can then select a set of wheels. The most expensive option is the 19-inch AMG twin 5-spoke wheels at $600. To match those fancy AMG wheels, it would only be right to add the optional AMG line with the Night package for an extra $3,050.

This package includes:

  • AMG body styling
  • Gloss black exterior accents
  • Sport brake system
  • Chrome star grille pattern
  • Sport suspension and steering
  • AMG sport front seats
  • Sport steering wheel
  • Brushed stainless steel pedals
  • MB-Tex upper dash trim

You can add chrome exterior door handles and a chrome trunk piece for an extra $300. Moving to the interior, the most expensive layout is the black or brown Nappa leather for $2,590. To complement the seats, a natural grain black wood with aluminum lines can be added for another $200. Also, it could be good to throw in a heated steering wheel and ventilated seats for another $700 (total).

Now, for the miscellaneous options, the following boxes can be ticked:

  • Advanced USB package ($300)
  • Acoustic glass ($150)
  • LED digital headlights ($1,100)
  • Dashcam ($200)
  • Rear side-impact airbags ($700)
  • First aid kit ($35)

In addition to all of that, we recommend opting for the Driver Assistance package with features like Active lane change assist, Active emergency stop assist, and Active blind spot assist for another $1,700.

With all of those boxes checked, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C 300 that we optioned up came out to a grand total of $65,575. That’s $16,075 more than the Pinnacle trim level’s base price. In that case, you can consider buying a Mercedes akin to buying a steak at a fancy steakhouse. The steak may be priced well, but the extra side plates will run up your bill.

Is it worth it in the end? Technically yes, if you really can’t live without the fancy paint job, driver-assist aids, and more minor options. However, if it were our dollar, we would probably just go with the Executive trim level and call it a day.
