How Much Does a Fully Loaded 2022 Audi A6 Cost?

The Audi A6 is a fantastic luxury sedan loaded with the latest technology, safety, and comfort features. It is every bit a match for anything BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Lexus can make. If you want the best that the A6 can offer, here is what a fully loaded version costs.

The Audi A6 is a mid-size luxury sedan that competes against the BMW 5 Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Lexus ES, and others. The midsize luxury sedan class is extremely competitive, and manufacturers routinely update models with new technology, luxury, and safety features.

If you’re car shopping for a luxury sedan and are curious about Audi’s A6, let’s take a look at the best they offer, a fully loaded A6 Prestige 55 TFSI.

If we want to see the best in an A6, we need to look at the Prestige 55 TFSI. Audi separates vehicle trims into three categories. The first, Premium, is the base trim. Premium Plus is the middle trim, and Prestige is their top-of-the-line trim. Within those trims, Audi differentiates engines with a numerical code. In the case of the A6, there are two to choose from, 45 and 55. The 45 is the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, producing 261 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. The 55 is the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 that delivers 335 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque.

All A6 trims have Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive and the S Tronic seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Since we are after the fully loaded version of the A6, the Prestige 55 TFSI Quattro S Tronic is the way to go. With no options selected, the base price for that trim is $69,500.

The Audi A6 is packed with standard features, as you would expect from a luxury brand. Even the base trim has serious luxury, technology, and advanced safety features. The top Prestige trim outfits the A6 sedan with state-of-the-art technology as well as the best that Audi has in luxury and comfort.

The A6 is a good-looking if slightly conservative sedan and comes standard in black. 19-inch wheels are the default and have all-season tires fitted.

Leather and wood fill the cabin with heated front and rear seats. A panoramic sunroof is standard as well. There is four-zone climate control and interior ambient lighting that is customizable to fit any mood.

The A6 does well in the technology and infotainment area. The central infotainment set-up consists of a 10.1-inch top display with an 8.6-inch lower touchscreen display. Audiophiles will be happy with the Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system and the inclusion of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A heads-up display is also standard and projects speed, navigation, driver assistance messages, and warning messages in full color.

2022 Audi A6 55 TFSI standard safety features and reliability

The 2022 Audi A6 is one of the safest midsize cars on the market. The NHTSA has given the A6 a five-star overall crash test rating. The A6 is packed with advanced safety features, including pre-collision warning front and rear, traffic sign recognition, side and cross-traffic monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, a 360-degree camera, LED matrix headlights and taillights, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, and a full complement of front and rear airbags.

On the reliability front, Audi has always had something of a spotty reputation. However, the current A6 scores high marks from Consumer Reports and is one of their recommended sedans.

Options to fully load an Audi A6

Most of what you might want in the A6 sedan is standard. There are a few options to select, and the first is the exterior color. As we mentioned, the standard color is black. Red, blue, white, and silvers are available for an additional $595. Audi also offers exclusive special paint colors for $3,900, which will allow you to choose any color you wish.

Selecting the Black Optic Sport package ($1,800) gives you 20-inch wheels, a lowered sports suspension, and removes all the exterior chrome in favor of black trim.

The Luxury package ($2,850) replaces the standard leather interior with Valcona/Milano leather. The dashboard, armrests, and center console also get leather trim. Ventilation and massage functions level up the front seats.

The Luxury package includes a split folding rear seat with a center fold-down armrest.

Choosing a paint color other than black and adding both the Black Optic Sport and Luxury packages brings the total to $75,840 with a $1,095 destination charge for a fully loaded A6 sedan.

Is a fully loaded 2022 Audi A6 Prestige 55 TFSI worth it?

If you want the best that Audi has to offer in the A6, then yes, the fully loaded version is worth it. It is also worth noting that a fully loaded A6 is $23,000 cheaper than a fully loaded BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class

The BMW and Mercedes are significantly faster, but if you are after a luxury experience and don’t have plans to tackle a track-day, the Audi A6 is far and away the better value.

The top-of-the-line trim adds the best comfort features to the best technology features to create a supremely comfortable sedan that is great to drive and safe.
