The Audi A4 sedan has state-of-the-art technologies, good performance, Quattro all-wheel drive, and one of the best interiors in the business. If you happen to be car shopping for a mid-size luxury sedan, the A4 is a great option.

If Audi’s A4 speaks to you and you are curious to see what it has to offer, then let’s take a look at the fully loaded version.

If you want the best Audi offers in the A4, you will need to buy the Prestige 45 TFSI Quattro S Tronic trim. That is a long name, but don’t worry, a dealership won’t expect you to repeat that.

The A4 is available in three trim levels, Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige. The Prestige is the top trim level and starts at $50,200 with the 40 TFSI package. The 45 TFSI package levels up the engine and gives you a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 261 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired to the S Tronic dual-clutch transmission, which sends power to all four wheels through Quattro all-wheel drive.

The results are respectable, and the top-of-the-line A4 can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds and hit an electronically limited top speed of 130 mph.

Selecting the Prestige 45 trim gives you a wealth of standard features that would embarrass many other cars. On the outside, the A4 comes equipped with Matrix-design LED headlights, 18-inch wheels with all-season tires, and a choice of two colors, blue or white.

Inside the cabin, you get a heads-up display, Audi MMI Navigation with Audi Connect, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, leather seats that are heated front and back, a sunroof, and a 360-degree exterior camera.

On the safety side, the A4 brings a lot of technology to the table. Pre-collision warning system, active lane assistance, park assist, active cruise control, and a full complement of airbags are standard.

There is a lot to like about the standard features, and the A4 Prestige 45 beats a lot of its competitors in this area.

Starting on the exterior, Audi has several colors available, including Tango Red and Navarra Blue. Along with the requisite blacks and silvers, those add $595 to the price. There also is an option for exclusive paint color, which at $3,900, lets you have your A4 in any color you can imagine.

The 18-inch 5-arm trapezoid bi-color wheels are a $1,200 option. Those are a part of the Black optic package, which ditches the chrome trim in favor of black. Also within the Black optic package are red brake calipers, a black-out grille, and aluminum interior trim.

The $500 S Line interior package adds Leather/Dinamica seats with S Line badging and stainless steel pedals.

Rear-passenger thoracic side airbags add $350 to the price of the A4 and are the only additional safety option available. Audi will sell you ventilated front seats for an additional $800, but those are not available with the S Line trim, which we think looks better.

With all options boxes checked, a fully loaded A4 Prestige costs $54,640 with the destination fee. Add another $3,900 if you want it painted in a unique color.

At $54,640, a fully loaded A4 is not exactly cheap. Its closest competitor is the BMW 330i xDrive sedan, and when equipped similarly, it is almost the same price. The BMW will reward those looking for a sporty driving experience. But the Audi is more comfortable with a better interior.

Depending on your priorities, the 2022 A4 Prestige is a great option. When fully loaded, it offers all of the technology, safety, and comfort you will ever need in a stylish package.
