The Kia Telluride has quickly become one of the most popular SUVs on the market. There is a lot to love about the car, and for the price, it is quite a bargain. This well-loved SUV is modernly designed, with a sporty front end, swooping taillights, and enough size to be a truly practical vehicle. People love it for its comfort, tech features, and affordable price tag. But, there are a few reasons you should pass up on the 2020 Kia Telluride.

The vehicle is still so new

Buying a car that is in the first years of production can be exciting. There aren’t a lot of previous versions or models on the road because there are only a few years that it has been produced. This can also mean that not all of the problems with the car have arisen because it isn’t likely that there are a lot of extremely high-mileage cars on the road yet. This doesn’t mean that the Kia Telluride is a bad vehicle by any means, but this is a common pattern among most brand new car models.

Waiting for the newest Kia Telluride

With 2021 just a few months away, it might be worth holding out for the newest model year. The Kia Telluride generation is far from over, so it isn’t likely that there will be any major changes, but the changes could be substantial. As cars progress through their generations, manufacturers are able to work out any little hiccups the car could have, producing a better, more reliable car along a generation. A generation of a car typically lasts for a few years, meaning the 2020 Kia Telluride is only the second model year of several in the generation.

As the third car in the generation, there is a lot of reason to believe that the 2021 will be the most reliable one yet. There will be no major design changes and no new technology that you’ll be excited to test out. Instead, the manufacturer can work on fine-tuning the Kia Telluride to make it even better for next year.

The newest model year

Soon we will be changing out calendars, and the next model year for the Kia Telluride will be hitting the dealership lots. If the last model year’s price is any indication, we can expect the 2021 model to be just as affordable. For some people, it might just be worth waiting for the latest model year. It couldn’t hurt to take the 2020 model year for a test drive, but if you want to buy a car brand new, you might want to forget about the 2020 Telluride and hold out for the 2021.
