Ford dealerships finally giving regular cab F-150 fans the Raptor they’ve been waiting for
Hardcore off-roaders know a lighter truck is a better truck. Less weight means better handling, a tighter turning radius, and improved acceleration. So why has Ford never built a regular cab (two door) Raptor? Pax Power saw the gap and filled it. Their Alpha Sport and Alpha packages bring true Raptor suspension and styling to any 2021+ Ford F-150–including regular cab trucks. And if you want 775 horsepower under the hood, well, they’ve got that covered too.
A regular cab Raptor in everything but name
As this aftermarket shop puts it, “PaxPower was created to build the trucks the OEMs won’t.” Their Alpha and Alpha Sport packages allow buyers to upfit any F-150 trim into an off-road beast. This includes regular cab, SuperCab, and SuperCrew models with Raptor-like performance—something Ford has never offered from the factory.
The Alpha Sport package brings a Fox 2.0 coilover suspension with forged upper control arms and long-travel rear leaf springs borrowed from the Raptor. It rides on 35-inch off-road tires mounted to 17×9 wheels—or optional 20-inch wheels. For buyers wanting more, the standard Alpha package upgrades the suspension to OEM Raptor hardware and adds wider fender flares, a custom hood, and aggressive styling.
Pax Power doesn’t stop there. If you want your regular cab F-150 to outrun an actual Raptor, they’ll bolt on a Whipple 3.0L supercharger, bumping the 5.0L V8’s output to a staggering 775 horsepower. They describe it as the “closest thing to an OEM 2-Door Raptor available!”
Ford dealerships believe Pax Power is filling a niche. An increasing number are offering customers a Pax Power upfit on brand new F-150s.
Supertrucks are cool, but are they getting out of hand?
This is an awesome truck. But let’s pump the brakes for a second. I’ve previously written about the supertruck arms race, and there’s a good argument that these trucks are getting out of hand. In fact, I think the Ford F-150 Raptor downsizing to an EcoBoost engine and Ram’s RHO going to the similarly-sized Hurricane I6 is a step toward the truce we need. Is Pax Power’s regular cab Raptor-like build another good step?
A regular cab F-150 Alpha might be lighter than a full-size Raptor, but it’s still huge. Big off-roaders are great until you actually take them off-road. A tight trail that a Wrangler or Tacoma navigates easily can quickly turn into a frustrating three-point-turn marathon in a full-size truck.
Then there’s the cost. Pax Power’s upgrades don’t come cheap. The Alpha Sport package starts at $18,950. The full Alpha conversion is $28,950—and that’s before the supercharger. Add the 775-horsepower package, and you’re pushing a $100,000+ truck once you factor in the cost of a base F-150.
The truck Ford fans have been waiting for: a Raptor with a regular cab
Pax Power didn’t just build the truck Ford wouldn’t—they built the truck off-roaders actually wanted. Their Alpha and Alpha Sport packages finally bring true Raptor capability to a regular cab F-150, combining lighter weight, better maneuverability, and supercharged power.
Ford fans have been waiting years for this. Now, thanks to Pax Power, the wait is over. See Pax Power’s Alpha Sport package for yourself in the video below:
