The Ford Maverick MRT Dual Tip Exhaust adds a nice roar
MRT Steet Performance is one of the many after-market companies that are building upgrades and equipment for the 2022 Ford Maverick. The MRT Dual Tip Exhaust is an axle-back exhaust system that provides a more aggressive sound and sportier look.

How to get the Maverick MRT Dual Tip Exhaust system
If you want to upgrade your 2022 Ford Maverick with the MRT Dual Tip Exhaust System, then prepare your waller. This setup is designed for the more powerful 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 250 hp and 277 lb-ft of torque. The gas-powered engine is beefier than the standard 2.5-liter Hybrid setup with 191 hp and 155 lb-ft of torque. Sorry, Maverick Hybrid fans. You’ll have to look for a dual-tip exhaust mode elsewhere.
These tips do not have the ‘put away’ technology that’s found on the proposed Bronco retractable exhaust system. But they do provide a noticeable difference as you accelerate and idle. Keep in mind that it may make the interior a bit noisier as well.
Do dual tips make the Maverick better?
It’s possible that the dual exhaust tips could make the 2022 Ford Maverick a bit more fuel-efficient. As gases exit two manifolds instead of only one, they can exit the engine faster. This can save energy and increase efficiency.
Dual tips also allow the engine to draw in air faster, potentially increasing the hp. However, no horsepower and fuel efficiency gains have been reported with the MRT setup. We will keep an eye on its performance, though.
The Maverick’s turbo engine might not be powerful enough to provide much of a difference with dual exhaust tips. Therefore, the MRT Dual Tip Exhaust System with the Maverick could just enhance its sound and looks.
Customizing the Maverick to look and perform the way you want is sort of the point. That’s why were seeing new hot rod and off-roading enhancements. Because the Maverick starts at $20,000, it’s one affordable truck to make your own.
If you want your Ford Maverick to look faster and sportier with a more aggressive roar, then the MRT Dual Tip Exhaust System is worth the price.
