I’m not over my exciting week with the Ford Maverick Lobo, but another compact truck variant is already gunning for my attention. The Ford Maverick 300T borrows a turbo from the Ford Mustang and can tow up to 4,000 lbs!

The Ford Maverick 300T steals the show

One of the most important trucks to drool over during SEMA is the Ford Maverick 300T. This tiny truck might race past the Ford Maverick Lobo thanks to having extra power and increased capabilities.

For example, the Maverick Lobo has a 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine with 250 hp and 277 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 6.1 seconds. Also, this model can’t be paired with the 4K towing package, and can only tow up to 2,000 lbs.

But the Maverick 300T pairs the 2.0-liter engine with a turbo from the Ford Mustang’s 2.3-liter engine to provide 300 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque. According to Ford, it can be equipped with the 4K towing package to pull up to 4,000 lbs.

Upgrades include an enhanced cooling system, improved shocks, a larger stabilizer bar, a high-performance Mishimoto intercooler, and ProCal 4 tuning. It also has a sport cat-back exhaust with chrome tips by Borla.

It rides on 20-inch Mach-E GT wheels wrapped in performance Pirelli tires. The reworked suspension features tuned lowering springs that lower the front by 10 mm and the rear by 30 mm.

The Maverick 300T boasts an aggressive sports truck stance, courtesy of the Lobo lowering kit and Air Design Front Spoiler, for a unique appearance. Also, the unique i330T exterior package includes bronze accents and performance fender vents.

Ford listens to drivers, and Maverick fans have been wanting a more powerful truck with unique appearance options. Based on fan reactions, this truck could become a reality. That’s what happened with the Lobo.
