The battle for the strongest off-roading truck continues as the Hennesey Venom Ford F-150 enters the arena. We’re still waiting for the V8-powered Ford F-150 Raptor R to arrive, but until then, the Hennesy Venom can battle the Ram 1500 TRX.

Are you ready to hear the Hennessey Venom Ford F-150 roar? Hennessey Performance Engineering decided to join the battle by enhancing an F-150. They started by installing a supercharged V8 engine with 775 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque.

With the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX, you get a V8 with 702 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. Plus, the Venom has an aluminum body, making it much lighter than the TRX. This means it could be more agile and stop faster.

What upgrades does the Venom F-150 have?

The Hennessey Venom Ford F-150 begins as a stock F-150 Platinum Super Crew. The 5.0-liter V8 engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. Then power is boosted with a 3.0-liter supercharger, cold-air induction system, a stainless-steel exhaust system, upgraded fuel injectors, and an upgraded fuel pump.

You can pot for an available six-inch lift. The suspension lift kit includes a self-leveling kit for the front suspension and 20-inch wheels with 35-inch tires. Other off-roading upgrades include a custom bullbar with driving lights and a custom rear bumper.

If you want your monster truck to be a street racer, you can opt for extra features such as the suspension lowering kit with coil-overs and traction bars.

The Hennessey Venom Ford F-150 can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 3.9 seconds. It races to a quarter-mile in about 12.0 seconds at 117 mph. The Ram 1500 reaches 60 mph in about 4.5 seconds with a 12.9-second quarter-mile sprint at 108 mph. These trucks are incredibly fast!

If you want to order this Hennessey F-150, you better hurry. Only 100 models are available for 2021. The pricing begins at around $110,000, which includes the price of the F-150 Platinum model. Order this truck through your local Ford dealer.

What about the Ford Raptor R?

Is buying the Hennessey Venom Ford F-150 worth it when the 2022 F-150 Raptor R is on the way? It could be the way to save on a massive off-roading truck. The 2021 F-150 Raptor begins at about $64,145, and rumors suggest that the Raptor R will start around $70,000.

While Ram’s Hellcat engine faces extinction due to rising compliance costs, Ford has a 5.2-liter aluminum four-valve predator engine. Also, the V8 engine in the Mustang Shelby GT500 serves up 760 hp and 625 lb-ft of torque.

Unline the Venom, the Raptor, and Ram TRX have a coil-sprung rear suspension. But the Raptor R’s setup could be tweaked to mount the V8. But the engine will have to be returned to fit the Raptor R’s different mass and duty cycle.

The Raptor R could have lower specs than the Ram TRX. We will have to wait to learn more. Until then, you can enjoy the Hennessey Venom Ford F-150 as a street racer or off-roader.
