If a deal seems too good to be true, well, it probably is. Matt Ryan is a car flipper who documents his vehicle finds on his NYKAuto YouTube channel. “I just bought a 2017 Ford Expedition Limited Extended Lang from Copart for $1,900,” he told viewers. “To be honest, I’m feeling really lucky about this one.” What he found was gruesome: blood, bullet holes, and booze.

Ryan later nicknamed the Ford Expedition the “biohazard” because it rolled into his shop riddled with bullet holes—and bloodstains. “These are evidence tags which are clearly bullet holes,” he said, pointing to the door. “Those will be easy to fix. The problem with bullet holes is the damage it does inside.” Bullets had torn through the side mirror, door panel, and speaker. “This speaker has a bullet hole in it, so we’ve got a new speaker ordered,” he said. The rounds had even reached the center console. “Second of all there’s blood all over the center console,” Ryan added.

Finding out whether the bullet hole filled Ford Expedition would start

Still, when the SUV started up after a jump, Ryan was floored. “Yeah baby, you got to be kidding me,” he said. “I love it, I love it, I love it, I can’t believe this thing just started up and drove off the trailer.” Once inside, he saw the odometer: “34,949 mi—you have got to be kidding me.” With mileage that low, he decided it was worth flipping.

Fixing it up meant replacing the center console and damaged door components, plus full brake work. “We ended up having to put brakes all the way around,” Ryan explained. And the cleanout? Let’s just say it left him stunned. “Oh hell no, you got to be kidding me—a bottle of Hennessy,” he said. “In 16 years of buying cars at Copart, I can’t say that they have ever left me a bottle of booze before.”

After a body shop patched the bullet holes—“You wouldn’t believe that just 6 hours ago this car had four bullet holes in the door”—Ryan listed the SUV. “We ended up getting $20,250 for it, giving us a contribution margin of $8,350, and that is exciting.”

So would you clean and flip a “biohazard” SUV for that kind of return? You can watch the full process in the YouTube video embedded below.
