Typically, married men don’t have to worry about loose nuts because they’re safely kept in their wife’s purses! Just kidding around, but this article is actually serious. Some Ford Bronco and Ranger models are being recalled for having loose nuts.

Ford Bronco and Ranger recall alert due to loose nuts

Ford Motor Company is recalling 2024 Ford Ranger trucks and 2024 – 2025 Ford Bronco SUVs due to a problem with the control arms that may increase the risk of accidents or injuries.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Ford Bronco and Ranger models may have a front upper control arm joint nut that wasn’t properly installed.

As a result, the nut might be loose. It could allow the control arm to separate from the knuckle assembly, leading to a loss of steering and vehicular control.

Ford shared that this recall includes 775 Ranger trucks that were produced between June 3 and September 4, 2024. About 1,641 Bronco SUVs are at risk.

They were built during the same period. Both of these vehicles are built at the Michigan Assembly Plant and they share the same T6 platform.

Ford is currently unaware of any accidents or injuries related to this issue. If your ride is at risk, then you’ll be notified via mail after October 28.

You will need to take your Ford Bronco or Ranger model to a local dealership. A technician will ensure that the nut is properly tightened and will replace the control arm and knuckle assembly as needed at no charge to owners.

You can visit the NHTSA site here to enter your 17-digit V.I.N. to see if your Bronco or Ranger is at risk. Also, you can call Ford Customer Service at 1-866-436-7332 for more information. The number for this recall is 24S64.
