Move over Shrek, there’s a new king of the swamp. The Ford Bronco Everglades is specifically designed with water, dirt, and mud in mind.

Off-roading has become extremely popular in the United States over the past few years. Automakers are releasing off-road trims to capitalize on the trend. The Bronco is made for off-roading but the Bronco Everglades is designed for one of the harshest types of terrain: the swamp.

They don’t call this Bronco trim the Everglades for nothin’. It comes equipped with a snorkel system, a winch kit, and three tow hooks (two front, one rear). The Bronco Everglades has removable doors and a removable top. It comes standard with roof rails with crossbars, full underbody bash plates, and a heavy-duty modular front bumper.

It doesn’t get much more hardcore than the Bronco Everglades. The Everglades trim also features washout-capable rubberized flooring with drain plugs, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a terrain management system with seven different terrain settings. The off-road SUV includes 35-inch mud-terrain tires, an electronic-locking front and rear axle, and Bilstein shock absorbers.

The 2022 Ford Bronco Everglades is a true off-roading beast. It has a massive 36.4 inches of wading depth. That’s over three feet. The Bronco Everglades uses a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine to make 275 horsepower and 315 lb-ft of torque.

Motor1 gave the Ford Bronco Everglades a near-perfect overall score. It fits in perfectly with the Bronco’s most capable trim levels.

What’s the best Ford Bronco trim for the money?

Ever since the Ford Bronco resurfaced after being discontinued, it has been in extremely high demand. The Bronco was one of the few SUV nameplates in recent years to create a massive resale market. Bronco models were listed on eBay for double their retail price.

The Ford Bronco is available in a whopping eight trim levels. The base model starts at $30,800. The Bronco Raptor final trim level starts at $68,500. Car and Driver recommends the Bronco Wildtrak. The Ford Bronco Wildtrak comes standard with a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that makes 330 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque.

The 2022 Bronco Wildtrak features 35-inch tires and Bilstein position-sensitive dampers. If you want the true Bronco experience, the Bronco with Ford’s Sasquatch Package is the way to go. The Ford Bronco Wildtrak starts at $49,780.
