Fiancé Heartbroken After Car Crash Victim’s Memorial Goes Missing

The victim’s fiancé and family were left heartbroken after the memorial plaque of their loved one was stolen from a remote location several yards off U.S. 60, near Gold Canyon.

The three young women lost their lives in a crash near that location in October 2025. Victims included Jordan Lee’s sister, Cari Elaine Lee, and his fiancée, Nadia Marie Biascoechea. Lee, Nadia’s two children, and her family visit the tribute site and spend meaningful time there, which helps them heal. He said in an interview with FOX 10:

“It’s extremely meaningful for us, this is a place that me and the kids can come and kinda feel like we can be with her, my sister, and Noel as well.”

The plaque had only been put up last month after an extensive process to have everything approved. Lee added:

“A lot of paperwork as far as ADOT, getting it approved, we actually cemented them into the ground. We had a welder come out and weld the plaques to the frame as well.”

Lee, however, was very upset when Nadia’s family discovered last week that her plaque had been stolen. He even seemed unsure about the next steps, and confirmed that he hadn’t filed a police complaint. He said:

“I was distraught. Very confused, a little angry. It was a rollercoaster for sure.”

“I’m not sure where to go. I haven’t contacted any authorities as of yet. I do think I will be filing a police report, you know, it’s the least I could do,” he added.

The Plaque Will Be Back in Its Place

Memories of Nadia brighten up Lee.

“She was just an incredible person, extremely kind, very witty, very green about everything, she was very childlike, so she made me feel like a kid again every moment I was with her,” he said.

Lee remains determined to get the plaque back and emphasized that he was following the path Nadia showed him. He said:

“One of her purposes here was just to bring others closer to God, so she helped guide me through that path as well. I try to control the things that I can and not stress about the things that I can’t. I’m not going to let the acts of a coward get me down.”

Lee confirmed that the family wishes to have the old plaque back, but they may start a fundraiser campaign to install a new one.
