Fast food drive-thru employees often experience disrespectful behavior, which doesn’t typically include violent acts. However, this was recently the case at a Del Taco in Florida. Not only did this shock the employees, but the man is now facing charges for his unfortunate behavior after not getting the mouth-watering tacos he so desperately wanted while waiting in his car.

He became irate at the fast food drive-thru employees due to his own doing

Many drivers consider Del Taco to be one of the best options when searching for a fast food drive-thru. Anthony Izzo, 41, seemingly also thought so when he recently tried to use one in Port Charlotte, Florida. However, according to WFLA, once at the window, the employees at the establishment informed him that it was too late to order as they had shut down the kitchen for the night.

Most rational-minded diners would look for a different fast food drive-thru in this case. However, that’s not what Anthony did. Instead, he hit the drive-thru window with a pipe wrench, which smashed it in. He drove off right away, but the concerned employees called the police because they feared the noise from the crash might have been a gunshot. Though not common, there are instances of angry customers taking these extreme measures, so their fear was warranted.

Fast-forward, and the police were able to apprehend the man following his violent act at the fast food drive-thru window. They booked him into the Charlotte County Jail. Now, not only does he have legal trouble because of the crime, but the man is accused of causing $2,000 worth of damage, all because he showed up at the restaurant after the kitchen was closed. It’s unclear whether the man has since been bailed out of jail. Hopefully, whatever punishment he gets includes some anger management classes.
