Holidays are feeling a little bit different this year. While we usually look forward to spending time with our family and loved ones, this year might look a little more empty. Getting to take pictures with Santa, special Christmas parades, and numerous other activities that we look forward to are being canceled to keep people safe during the pandemic. But, luckily for us, there are still plenty of ways to get holly and jolly while staying socially distant, and Daytona International Speedway is ready to kick the season off with the Magic of Lights.

Some Christmas joy in Daytona

We could all use a little bit of Christmas joy this year, and there is no better way to do that than spending time with family. Well, that and enjoying a beautiful Christmas light display. While many events have been canceled, Daytona International Speedway has announced that they will still hold their annual Magic of Lights event, and it’s definitely worth checking out. It’s affordable fun for the whole family, and it is socially distanced.

A fun and affordable time

You can check the specific costs for each type of vehicle, ranging from passenger cars to limos, right on the Daytona International Speedway website, but you’ll probably be happy with the ticket pricing. For the average car, you can expect to pay around $25 if you buy the tickets in advance, and that covers all of the passengers in the car, making it an affordable and enjoyable experience for the whole family.

1 million lights

The Magic of Lights features 1 million Christmas lights spread across several beautiful displays. This year, you can expect to see displays like the Enchanting Tunnel of Lights, 12 Days of Christmas, Snowflake Forest, and many more. The event will officially begin after Thanksgiving and run through the holidays, with some weekdays included.

With the Daytona International Speedway’s Magic of Lights, we can expect to feel the magic of the holidays even if we have to stay a little bit further away. Lucky for us, this socially-distanced holiday event is affordable fun that the entire family can enjoy.
