The process of buying a used SUV can be challenging. This is the case because there are so many options on the market. Luckily for buyers, 2022 was a great year in recent automotive history, and these SUVs are pretty current. Of course, not every 2022 midsize SUV is the best, but here are nine that tend to be top choices.

1. Subaru Outback

And in terms of owner satisfaction, one of the most satisfying options is the Subaru Outback. Owners of the Outback really like how it drives, how comfortable it is, and how it it’s styled. That said, the Outback starts at just under $28,000, and many owners don’t like its value.

2. Toyota Venza

The Venza is on a similar boat as the Outback. Owners like how the Venza drives, its comfort features, and its styling. But at $33,000, almost half of the owners don’t think it’s a good value for the price.

3. Jeep Grand Cherokee is an excellent 2022 midsize SUV

The Grand Cherokee may not be a good SUV for numerous reasons, but that doesn’t mean Jeep fans hate it. Most owners seem satisfied with the Grand Cherokee. It delivers fairly powerful performance and has a great look. According to Edmunds, the 2022 model has a 3.6-liter V6 engine. This Jeep starts at about $35,000.

4. Kia Telluride

The Telluride is one of the best SUVs on the market right now and scores very well in terms of owner satisfaction. But, like the Venza and the Outback, while the Kia does well in most categories, aren’t too happy about its value. The Telluride starts at just over $33,000.

5. Toyota Highlander

The Highlander is similar to the Telluride, the Venza, and the Outback. Owners are mostly satisfied with it, but most also don’t think the SUV, which starts at $36,000, has a good value for the money.

6. Hyundai Palisade makes an excellent 2022 midsize SUV option

In the Palisade’s case, owners like its comfort and styling, but its driving experience isn’t as great. And at its $34,000 price tag, many don’t think it had a good value, either.

7. Nissan Pathfinder

There are many things that can be said about the Nissan Pathfinder. It’s a pretty decent SUV, but it has quite a few flaws. However, its overall owner satisfaction score is still good. This Nissan SUV starts at about $35,000.

8. Jeep Grand Cherokee L

The Grand Cherokee L is a more extensive and expensive version of the Grand Cherokee, and unlike the smaller Jeep. It starts at over $40,000, and most owners are not satisfied with its value. It does well in driving experience and styling, but its comfort features aren’t as great.

9. Toyota 4Runner is a great 2022 midsize SUV option

Lastly, the 4Runner is satisfying overall but falls short in several areas. At $38,000, most owners don’t think it had a good value. Its driving experience and comfort features are mediocre, but its styling is great.
