The Ford Bronco isn’t exactly ready to go for a swim, but the Bronco Everglades will be the most water-resistant Bronco ever released. The Bronco Everglades is the first Bronco model to feature a factory-installed Bronco and winch.

The factory-installed snorkel will allow the compact SUV to wade through deep water without flooding its engine in the process. Water and automobiles don’t mix and water damage is one of the most severe types of damage that a vehicle can endure. The Bronco Everglades allows drivers to face shallow waters without rendering their vehicles useless.

The semi aquatic off-road SUV doesn’t just feature a snorkel. It also comes standard with a winch. The winch can be used to rescue less water-friendly vehicles among many other things.

The new Ford Bronco intends to conquer all sorts of terrain. It comes in several different trims and features different driving modes. The Everglades trim is meant to conquer swampy areas and cross shallow bodies of water.

The 2021 Ford Bronco comes in six different trims. The Wildtrak, Badlands, and First Edition models are the best trims for off-roading. The Bronco First Edition is the most capable because it comes standard with the coveted Sasquatch Package and all the Wildtrak’s features.

The Sasquatch Package includes 35-inch tires. It features front and rear-locking differentials as well as Bilstein shocks. The package is optional on all Ford Bronco models.

Accoring to Car and Driver, the Bronco Everglades appears to use 35-inch Goodyear Territory MT tires. The compact SUV trim also appears to use different fender flares from other Bronco models. The Bronco nameplate has proven itself on trails and off-road but the swamp is uncharted territory for the daring little SUV.

The 2022 Ford Bronco Everglades is specifically for use in swampy regions or in very shallow water. Of all Bronco trims and packages, the Everglades option is the most niche option offered. You won’t get much use of the Everglades snorkel in places like Southern California. The Bronco Everglades is best-used in the bayou.

An official price has yet to be released for the Bronco Everglades, but the inclusion of a factory-installed winch and snorkel are bound to tack on a few thousand to the compact SUV. The price of the Everglades model is anyone’s guess, but don’t expect that type of specialized utility to come cheap.

If you have the money to blow on a Bronco that isn’t afraid to get its hooves wet, the Everglades is an exciting option. Most consumers will stick to more typical models if they ever get a fair shot at buying a Bronco. The SUV is as elusive as it is capable. It has a huge resale market that has resulted in obscene price gouging on eBay. Is the Bronco Everglades worth buying, or way too specialized to sell well?
