Elon Musk Reposts AI Concept of a 7-Seater Tesla Cyber SUV – Is This the Ultimate Family Hauler?

The Tesla Cybertruck has been out in the wild for a while now, and love it or hate it, the stainless-steel wedge has been a serious disruptor of the industry. But while tech enthusiasts and early adopters are enjoying their apocalyptic pickups, families have been left wondering: what about us? Sure, the Model Y can technically cram a third row in the back, but it doesn’t offer the rugged, full-size utility of a Chevy Tahoe or a Rivian R1S.

Enter the Cyber SUV.

The Viral AI Concept That Caught Elon Musk’s Eye

Recently, a prominent Tesla enthusiast on X (formerly Twitter) going by the handle Lamar MK shared a series of AI-generated images of a massive, three-row SUV built on the Cybertruck platform. The concept images show a cavernous interior with what appears to be stadium seating, vast amounts of legroom, and an exterior that extends the Cybertruck’s brutalist roofline all the way to the rear.

Lamar MK added the caption:

“A 7 seater Cyber SUV would break the internet. Three full rows. Real legroom. Real headroom. No compromises.”

He went on to argue that current family SUVs force buyers to compromise between space, safety, tech, and comfort, concluding that a Tesla-built alternative would be the perfect middle.

While concept art floats around the internet every single day, this specific post gained massive traction for the fact that Elon Musk reposted it.

“Businessdads” Unite

Musk’s reposts are often seen by the Tesla community as tacit acknowledgments of what the company might be cooking up behind the scenes. Elon has previously hinted at something “cooler than a minivan” coming down the pipeline for families.

The demand for a full-size, zero-compromise Tesla SUV isn’t just coming from standard fans, either. Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian replied directly to the thread.

“Yes. This. Love my cybertruck but businessdads need 3 rows for all the fam.”

Will Tesla Actually Build a Cyber SUV?

Right now, these images are strictly produced by AI, so don’t expect to see this exact vehicle rolling off the line at Giga Texas tomorrow. However, from a manufacturing standpoint, an SUV variant makes a ton of sense. Automakers have historically maximized profits by sharing platforms, just look at the Chevy Silverado and the Tahoe, or the Ford F-150 and the Expedition.

If Tesla already has the tooling, the powertrain, and the 48-volt architecture ironed out for the Cybertruck, putting a closed-roof body over that exact same skateboard platform would be the logical next step to dominate the lucrative full-size SUV segment.

For now, all we have is an AI rendering and a repost from the CEO. But in the world of Tesla, that’s usually exactly how the wildest ideas begin.
