Pennsylvania man gets DUI in stolen truck after running from police

33-year-old Alexander Bryce Foltz of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania is facing a hard time after being caught with a stolen truck while under the influence.

Foltz was driving a black 2013 Chevrolet Silverado that was reported stolen from Sandy Township in Clearfield County. Police officers spotted the truck that matched the description with a roof-mounted light bar and rear window sticker and sprang into action.

They attempted to pull Foltz over around Jackson Street and 11th Street, but he fled. The police chased him for miles until he gave up on Sanox Hill Road in Winslow, Jefferson County.

Foltz threw the Chevy Silverado keys out of the window. According to Explore Jefferson PA, he was in disheveled clothing, had a strong body odor, had red paint on his face, and dilated pupils. He was incoherent and couldn’t sit still.

He couldn’t follow a pen stimulus during the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test. This is an extremely common field sobriety test that he failed. Foltz consented to have a blood sample drawn, which is being held as evidence.

Police officers charged him with fleeing/attempting to elude a police officer, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, DUI, reckless driving, and multiple traffic violations. Foltz is being held in Jefferson County Jail after failing to post a $25,000 bail.
