Police officers conduct traffic stops to protect everyone on the road. This is one of the easiest ways to stop traffic violations and to ensure people behind the wheel are safe. Recently, a Massachusetts man who had prior run-ins with the law tried running from a traffic stop. Naturally, this caused a high-speed chase and put everyone else in jeopardy.

Not only did he evade a traffic stop, but this man tossed a gun from the window

According to ABC 6, detectives from the Organized Crime Intelligence Bureau in Massachusetts tried to conduct a traffic stop on Hayden Andrade, 22, on November 14th. The report says that he had been convicted of drug possession in the past and was even wearing an ankle monitor. Sadly. Hayden decided to flee from the detectives, leading them on a chase.

According to the report, the 22-year-old driver not only reached high rates of speed while running from the traffic stop but also tossed a firearm from the vehicle. Naturally, throwing a gun from a car is dangerous for the community in a host of ways. After a while, police officers caught up to Hayden, and he then tried to escape on foot. Of course, they caught up to him and placed him in handcuffs.

Sadly, the story doesn’t stop there, as his reason for running from the traffic stop became clear after the police searched him. The report says that the detectives found 18 grams of fentanyl and 42 grams of cocaine. This comes after police arrested him in 2023 for dealing cocaine. He also led police on a previous chase before crashing his vehicle, which also had drugs in it at the time.
