I have another haunting SUV story for the spooky season. But this time the case includes an unsolved mystery. A Wisconsin man recently crashed an SUV that belongs to his wife. This reminds authorities that she has been missing since 2021.

Wisconsin driver crashes missing woman’s SUV

Police officers in Wisconsin rushed to the scene of a wreck on Interstate 94 only to realize that the driver was possibly connected to a bigger crime.

Traffic cameras caught the driver of the red SUV heading northbound in the southbound lanes near College Avenue around 1 PM.

Police officers shared that the driver may have been experiencing a medical issue and gave him a $330 fine for driving the wrong way on the highway.

However, the suspect was identified as Wesley Eckert. He’s a person of interest involved in the case of a woman who has been missing since 2021. The woman is his wife, Sandra Eckert. According to Fox 6 Now, their daughter confirmed that the SUV belongs to her missing mother.

Sandra Eckert was last seen leaving her home on North Cape Road on March 26, 2021. She was driving a 2005 Dodge Stratus that belonged to Wesley.

In April 2021, several police officers searched the couple’s home with K-9 officers. Reportedly, search warrants indicate that the dogs alerted officers to several locations inside the house and garage.

But the car and Sandra haven’t been found, and no charges have been filed in the case. The Franklin Police Department hasn’t been able to provide a recent update.

Sandra’s daughter shared that she’s heartbroken as the SUV and Wesly shouldn’t be on the road. She seeks closure as the disappearance is still being investigated as a homicide.
