People who decide to drive while under the influence present several dangers for everyone on the road. Of course, this action is even worse when people do it with kids in the car. Recently, one woman went out to a strip club and decided leaving her child in the vehicle was a sound decision. Luckily, she didn’t cause any car wrecks.

The decision to drive under the influence causes several fatal car wrecks each year

According to 1011 Now, police officers in Lincoln, Nebraska, were recently called to The Office Gentlemen’s Club after a woman arrived and was “heavily intoxicated.” This happened at around 11 p.m. They refused entry, and the woman decided to drive again while under the influence. This time, she only went a short distance from the strip club, which is where the police officers found her, with a 1-year-old in the back seat.

The police officers observed the car parked on a road with the lights off. However, the blinker was on, and they, too, noticed that she was severely intoxicated. Of course, this also means that they knew she had made the decision to not only drive while under the influence, but she did so with this young child in the car. Notably, it was 30 degrees Fahrenheit, and the officers on the scene had to find a coat to cover the child.

Of course, police arrested the woman due to her decision to drive under the influence. However, they later learned that she had received a conviction for the same thing in 2019. This time, she had a blood alcohol content of .221. The police officers also said that the woman was uncooperative during the encounter. Her bond was 10 percent of $2,500, and she’s due back in court in January. Everyone in the area is lucky she didn’t cause any car wrecks. Of course, they released the 1-year-old to a family member of the woman.
