There has been a considerable rise in the use of food delivery apps over the past several years. DoorDash remains one of the most popular, but there are many other options for drivers and customers alike. While most people feel safe ordering food through apps, one DoorDash order recently went south and ended with the threat of violence. Now, the driver is behind bars.

No one wants their DoorDash order served with a side of violence, but that’s what these three ladies got

Everybody knows how a DoorDash order works. However, there are instances where things can go south once the dasher drops off the items to the customers. According to Click On Detroit, this happened recently, and it led to one of the most extreme interactions a customer can have with a delivery driver.

The outlet reports that Andrew Gerard Boyer, a DoorDash driver, had a verbal disagreement with a group of customers after dropping off an order. Somehow, this argument escalated, and the report doesn’t reveal the nature of the issues with the order. When the driver tried to go back to his vehicle, the customers—three women, presumably the customers—followed him back. This is when he pulled out a gun and put a bullet into the chamber. He then yelled for the three women to get away from his vehicle.

This DoorDash order gone wrong happened on February 28th in Bloomfield, Michigan. Fast forward to March 1st, and the Bloomfield Township Police Department issues a warrant for the driver’s arrest. Specifically, the warrant is for brandishing, which is a 90-day misdemeanor. He was arraigned and received a $3,000 bond. Sadly for him, this is probably the end of his DoorDash career.
