Chevrolet reveals the new Tahoe and Suburban

Chevrolet unveiled its new Tahoe at the same it introduced the 2021 Suburban. In doing so, Chevrolet claimed that “each has been redesigned to be the ultimate SUV.” The company bragged that the vehicles would offer “the most interior space of any SUV” along with “exclusive technologies and features and the best driving dynamics in the full-size segment.”

In creating the new Tahoe, Executive Vice President Barry Engle noted that the SUV has an iconic presence. He stated that,

“We’ve taken what people love about these pioneering SUVs and made them even better-adding more room for people and cargo, more advanced technology, and an unrivaled driving experience.”

Chevy stated that it h as tailored the Tahoe’s interior to meet the needs of today’s SUV owners and their passengers. So the Tahoe is talking the talk, but can it walk the walk?

Interior space

The Tahoe indeed offers class-leading interior space, with 66% more cargo space behind the third row of seating. In fact, the 2021 Tahoe will provide 25% more cargo space behind the vehicle’s third row than the current model year Ford Expedition.

Third-row passengers will also enjoy 10 more inches of legroom than with previous editions. This means that even adult passengers should not feel cramped when riding in the Tahoe’s back seat.

Second-row passengers will notice more room as well. For the first time, the Tahoe offers sliding second-row seating that can adjust 5.5 inches forward or backward.

Display screens and technology

The 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe offers up to five display screens, including a standard 10-inch diagonal one that is the largest in its segment. Chevy also makes a 15-inch Heads Up display available, which is something no one else offers.

The automaker boasts that the 2021 Tahoe provides “more connectivity options” in addition to “a new rear seat media system designed to keep even the most tech-savvy family members satisfied throughout their road trips.” The vehicle will offer its own built-in hotspot, providing 4G LTE data along with wireless charging and multiple USB ports.

In addition to its touch screens, the Tahoe also offers more than 30 driver safety and convenience features. These include HD Surround Vision, Rear Pedestrian Alert, and Standard Automatic Emergency Braking. The Tahoe also boasts nine different camera views, another best in class. Hauling a trailer is a breeze thanks to advanced features such as Side Blind Zone Alert for trailering.

Interior Design

More cargo room and better features are great, but what many people are concerned with is style. This is another area in which the 2021 Chevy Tahoe will not disappoint. Packed with luxurious features such as leather trimmed seats, chrome accents, and freshly-designed panels, the vehicle maintains an elegant appearance. Colored stitching that matches the vehicle’s exterior adds more visual appeal, while helping to tie everything together.

Built to be competitive

The 2021 Tahoe will mark the fifth generation of this iconic vehicle. In revamping the SUV, Chevy has recognized the importance of style, comfort, and versatility.

Vice President of Global Product Programs Time Herrick remarked that “with an increasing number of SUVs on the market, we knew the all-new Tahoe and Suburban needed to reach higher than ever.”

It appears that Chevy has indeed raised the bar with its latest version, which will be available sometime around June 2020.
