When shopping for a new Hyundai Palisade, there are certain features drivers consider important. Traditionally these features included how many cup holders the vehicle had, interior storage space, safety features, fuel economy, resale value, reliability, and overall purchase price. Android Auto has the distinction of being one of the latest features drivers want when in their new car.

Does Hyundai Palisade have Android Auto?

Android Auto is one of the standard features found on the 2020 Hyundai Palisades. Other features drivers will enjoy when they drive off the dealer’s lot in a new Palisade include blind-spot monitoring, lane assist, driver attention warning, smart cruise control, and ultrasonic rear occupant alert. All of these features are designed to keep everyone in the car safe.

How Android Auto improves the driving experience

While most drivers realize that Android Auto allows them to listen to streaming music, audiobooks, and podcasts while they’re driving until they have a firsthand experience they don’t fully understand just how much the program improves the driving experience.

Provided you’re in a state that still allows you to use a hands-free device, Google Assistant allows you to use just your voice to make and take phone calls and text messages. You can even arrange for Android Auto to send auto-replies to people who call and text while you’re driving, which allows you to focus on the road rather than your cell phone.

There are many additional ways that Android Auto improves the overall driving experience. It connects to an outstanding navigation program, Waze, that not only keeps you on the fastest route but also alerts you to traffic problems and automatically reroutes so you make it to your destination on time.

Thanks to Android Auto’s ability to connect to Yelp and TripAdvisor you’ll have never worry about finding places to get gas, eat, and sleep. If you experience problems on the road, Android Auto helps you pinpoint your position so that tow trucks and the police are able to quickly find you.

All of these features help you plan your trip on the fly and keep you safe while driving.

Android Auto is easy to use

Since the 2020 Hyundai Palisades are already equipped with Android Auto, taking advantage of this feature is no trouble at all. As long as you are using an Android phone that has a Lollipop operating system your phone is compatible. All you must do is download the free Android Auto app, connect your phone (either via USB or Bluetooth) to your car, and you’re ready to go.

What to expect from the 2020 Hyundai Palisade

If you haven’t already checked out the Hyundai Palisade you should make time to do so. It’s a nice SUV that is rugged enough for some fun outdoor adventures, safe enough to serve as a family vehicle, and comfortable enough to use a daily commuter.

The vehicle is equipped with a 3.8-liter V6 engine and 8-speed automatic transmission which provide the vehicle with a 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet torque. The three-row seating means that there is plenty of room for passengers and/or cargo. Drivers who have had an opportunity to test drive the 2020 Palisade report that it’s a comfortable vehicle that handles nicely.

One of the more interesting features you’ll find in the Palisade is the ability to not only use the rear speakers to talk to passengers seated in the back seat but that drivers can also silence the speakers if they choose.

While Android Auto is a standard feature on all Hyundai Palisades, additional add on features include heated seats, a larger instrument cluster and infotainment screen, a heated steering wheel, and all-wheel drive.
