Apple CarPlay in the Ford Fusion

Owners of iPhone devices will be happy to know that the 2020 Ford Fusion’s SYNC 3 system supports Apple CarPlay. Convenient features of Apple CarPlay are the same as the ones you enjoy on your iPhone only designed for safe driving on the road in your Ford Fusion. It lets you use your phone while you drive the smart way, bringing everything you need to manage your day and your drive together in one intuitive package.

You can control Apple Carplay in the Ford Fusion in a few different ways. Use voice commands, your car’s touchscreen, or the steering wheel-mounted audio controls. Apple Maps is there to find your most efficient route, along with spoken turn-by-turn directions and immersive 3D experiences. Of course, you can make calls, take calls, and listen to messages all using voice commands.

Your tunes are easy to manage on the road with the familiarity of your Apple Music library and the simplicity of Siri. Texting your contacts hands-free, and getting reminders on your calendar are all part of the Apple CarPlay experience inside the Fusion.

Apple CarPlay also supports all your favorite apps on your iPhone, so if you prefer Spotify to Apple Music, no problem. WhatsApp, Amazon Music, Pandora, and many more are available. You can also customize the way your apps appear on the Fusion touchscreen and move them around to your liking.

All Fusion models come with a suite of driver-assist technologies that are becoming the standard on all vehicles. Pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, a rearview camera, lane-keeping assist, and auto high-beam headlamps are all part of the package. In addition to smartphone connection with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Ford SYNC offers larger touchscreens, natural language voice commands, and traffic and weather updates to help you manage your day.

The 2020 Ford Fusion has electric power-assisted steering that automatically adjusts to the driver. Available auto start-stop technology is designed to help the environment by automatically shutting the car off while it is stopped, and then immediately starting again when you take your foot off the brake pedal.
