SUV driver runs over gravestones in cemetery
People are outraged by the video of a blue SUV driving over graves at a cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. It’s disrespectful to accidentally step on a grave, and running one over takes things to the next level.
The incident occurred at San Fernando Cemetery #2 and the archdiocese that manages the property is aware of the video. Multiple people called in to report it and they have submitted a police report.
According to Kens 5, the staff inspected the area for damage and clues but didn’t find anything. However, rounds of tracks are visible on grave sites and headstones.
Trinidad Olvera was visiting his grandmother’s grave when he saw the blue SUV drive all over the cemetery. He shared, “They don’t know who is there, running over someone else’s family, mother, baby, or grandparent.”
Olvera asked how would feel if it was your family, and someone ran over their grave. He suggested installing security cameras around the cemetery.
But for now, the San Antonio Police Department is increasing patrols in the area. The archdiocese issued a statement to affirm its commitment to maintaining the dignity of the site and supporting the bereaved families during this troubling time.
Perhaps an angry spirit entered the SUV and is now haunting the driver. All joking aside, many residents hope to hold the driver accountable for their disrespectful actions.
