The deadliest truck in America soars past the Jeep Gladiator
Surprise, the deadliest truck in America isn’t the Jeep Gladiator. You would expect the Jeep truck to have a higher rate of fatalities since the Jeep Wrangler has a reputation for flipping. However, other trucks are more dangerous, especially one from Japan.
What is the deadliest truck in America?
The deadliest truck in America is currently the Nissan Frontier while the Jeep Gladiator actually ranks as a much safer option.
According to iSeeCars, the Nissan Frontier has a 5.0% fatal accident rate among cars per billion vehicle miles. This is 2.2 times higher than the 2.3% average from trucks.
While the Nissan Frontier is the deadliest option, the Jeep Gladiator came in fifth place. It has a fatal accident rate of 2.7%, making it seem incredibly safe compared to the Frontier.
Also, the top five deadliest trucks are mid-size models. On the list of the top 23 most dangerous cars, there isn’t a single full-size truck listed.
However, some models that stand out on the list include the Honda CR-V, Ford Bronco, Kia Soul, and Chevrolet Corvette. You won’t find a single Subaru model on the list. Tesla has the highest fatal accident rate by brand.

To determine the list of deadliest cars, iSeeCars decided to team up with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
It looked at the Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) for model year 2018-2022 cars with car crashes that resulted in at least one occupant fatality to find the deadliest cars today.
Fatalities and accidents have been increasing during the past 12 years. However, new cars are also safer than ever thanks to advanced chassis designs, driver assist technology, and airbags surrounding drivers and occupants.
According to the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS), the Nissan Frontier has improvements to make with its side protection, crash avoidance and mitigation system, and avoiding pedestrians.
