The Tesla Cybertruck might be one of the most controversial vehicles in automotive history. Sure, most of the issues with the truck are due to perception. However, there have been recalls, and recently, a fiery crash took the lives of three college students. There could be a new car recall for the Cybertruck

As mentioned, one of the sad realities of the automotive world is that there are deadly car wrecks each day. However, the November 27th crash involving a Tesla Cybertruck has dominated news headlines. Naturally, this is because three students are now dead, and there’s no explanation as to why. Currently, experts don’t belive that the issue was mechanical, but getting a complete picture of the situation is still paramount.

According to Business Insider, the NHTSA has stepped in and is launching a probe into what happened. The organization said, “NHTSA is aware of the crash and is gathering information from the manufacturer and law enforcement.” In other words, the investigation hasn’t started yet. Still, the NHTSA is in the beginning stages of determining if an issue with the Cybertruck would necessitate a car recall.

Still, regarding this most recent Cybertruck fire, readers should note that it is believed high rates of speed played a part in the incident. However, if this is the case, it still poses a risk to public safety and should be addressed if changes could prevent this issue in the future. Of course, this is the second fatal fiery crash involving a Cybertruck, with the first being in August when someone drove off the road and the vehicle went up in flames.
