Who doesn’t love a deal? The folks at Consumer Reports are certainly fans of saving money on good vehicles. The publication keeps track of all available discounts on its recommended new cars. From GMC to Cadillac, here are the best new SUV and crossover deals for 2022.
Save $2,661 on the 2022 Chevrolet Blazer
Consumer Reports loves the Chevrolet Blazer. This Chevy aced its road test; the reviewers gave it an 82/100 and named it #3 out of all midsize SUVs. Its acceleration, transmission, and braking all earned a perfect 5/5 score. Its lowest rating was for its fuel economy: it only got 19 mpg overall and fell to 13 mpg around the city.
Through the month of January Chevrolet dealers are offering 7% off the 2022 Blazer. With an MSRP ranging from $33,500-$44,00, Blazers are going for as much as $2,661 off. That’s one of the best new SUV deals of the year.
Cut $2,800 off the 2022 Cadillac XT5’s MSRP
Cadillac has improved the XT5’s Consumer Reports’ score every year. The 2022 Cadillac XT5 earned a 82/100 from the publication. The XT5’s highest score is a perfect 5/5 for predicted reliability. During the XT5’s road test, its reviewers found the lack of excess noise and interior fit/finish perfect. Overall, it placed #2 out of 27 luxury compact SUVs.
The comfortable XT5 is also one of the best new SUV deals throughout the month of January. General Motors is only offering 6% off this crossover. But with an MSRP of $43,995-$55,895, you have potential to save $2,800.
Take up to $3,087 off the 2022 Nissan Murano
The Nissan Murano‘s dramatic styling is divisive, to say the least. While some love the SUV’s sporty new look, others point out that its out of place on the relatively slow car. For its part, Consumer Reports gave the Murano an excellent score for driving experience and comfort, in part because of its 5/5 transmission. The SUV also got a 4/5 for reliability and an 81/100 overall.
Nissan is currently offering 7% off its Murano SUV. With a huge price range: $32,910-$46,160, you can save some major money. Maximum price off the Murano’s MSRP could be $3,087.
Save a maximum of $3,236 off the 2022 GMC Acadia
The Consumer Reports team was whelmed by the latest GMC Acadia. Safety-minded families will be happy to hear that this 2022 SUV earned 5/5 for both braking and rear seat comfort. Overall, the driving experience earned 87/100. But poor fuel economy and a predicted reliability score of just 3/5 held this SUV back. The Acadia only got a total score of 70/100. You might also consider the Chevrolet Traverse (also currently discounted) with its 83/100 CR score.
But GMC is offering a heavy discount on its midsized luxury SUV: 7% off through January 31st. Because you can option the Acadia to nearly $50k ($34,800-$48,600), that 7% could possibly save you $3,236. This makes it the best new SUV deal of the month.
