It’s no secret that Stellantis is phasing out some of the most beloved American sedans and coupes, and the Chrysler 300 didn’t escape unscathed. However, it might be overdue, considering Chrylser has been selling the most modern iterations of the 300 for 18 years with only one noteworthy redesign. Still, the marque isn’t sending the 300 off into the sunset unceremoniously; the swan song 2023 Chrysler 300C offers a 485-horsepower 6.4L V8. So, here are a few reasons the V8-powered 2023 Chrysler 300C is worth consideration over a Dodge Charger.

Is the Chrysler 300C a V8?

The most recent Chrysler 300s offered an optional V8 just like the final 2023 300C. However, the most recent Chrysler 300S with an optional V8 offered a 5.7L Hemi V8. TrueCar says the latest iterations produced 363 horsepower. While that’s commendable power, it’s still seven ponies shy of a comparable Dodge Charger R/T.

The new 2023 Chrysler 300C packs V8 power and more exclusivity than a Dodge Charger like the Scat Pack.

However, the swan song 2023 Chrysler 300C packs a 485-horsepower 6.4L V8, the same as a Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack. The result is a swift Chrysler luxury sedan that promises pantomime and comfort at the same time.

Is the 2023 Chrysler 300C fast?

The 2023 Chrysler 300C is a properly fast luxury sedan with enough power to take on pricier luxury offerings like the Audi A7. Chrysler says the new 300C will hit 60 mph from a standstill in just 4.3 seconds. Further, the 300C will run a 12.4-second quarter mile up to its top speed of 160 mph. However, it’s not quite as motivated as a Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack.

Car and Driver managed to coax a 0-60 mph run of just 3.9 seconds out of a Scat Pack, making it quicker than even the newest 6.4L Hemi-powered Chrysler 300C. However, you’ll be blasting around in more comfort and luxury in the new 300C than in the comparable Charger Scat Pack.

Is the 300C more collectible than a Dodge Charger?

Chrysler announced that not only is the 300C part of the last 300 model year, but it’s also a limited edition. The marque will produce just 2,000 of the big V8-powered luxury sedans. That makes it more collectible than most Dodge Chargers. However, Dodge is also sending off its beloved cars with a bang; enter the Last Call models.

Dodge is making Last Call special editions to celebrate and close the book on the ICE Challenger and Charger. Those cars are limited to 1,000 per unique model like the Shakedown Shaker. Still, Dodge is making seven of the special edition Last Call models, meaning the lone Chrysler 300C is a seriously exclusive collectible.

If you’re lucky enough to have reserved one, its a special car

According to The Drive, the last Chrysler 300Cs are all reserved already. If you’re lucky enough to have jumped on one of these collectible luxury sedans, know that you snagged a piece of automotive history. Furthermore, while the Charger R/T Scat Pack might be quicker and cheaper, it lacks some of the refinement of the Chrysler. Scroll down to the following article to read more about luxury sedans!
