Light trucks, crossovers, and SUV sales currently dominate the auto industry. These vehicles make up the majority of all new automobile purchases in the United States, replacing minivans and larger sedans.

Chevrolet has a strong foothold in the market, with the Chevy Silverado placing second among the competition of best-selling vehicles sold in 2020, bested only by the Ford F-series, which was ranked number one.

Chevy offers a strong product line of sport utility vehicles, with three of its SUVs recently nominated as the best choice for large SUV shoppers.

Chevy has three SUVs in the top 5

CarMax ranked the 10 Best Large SUVs for 2020 based on sales data from the previous year. Among the top contenders, Chevy earned three of the top five positions on the list.

The coveted number one spot went to the Chevy Traverse, which has an MSRP of $29,800. The “ultra-smooth ride” and generous third-row passenger legroom impressed CarMax.

The eight-passenger SUV is available in all-wheel drive and offers leather seats, a rearview camera, sunroof, and navigation system. The Traverse is a solid choice for consumers that live an adventurous lifestyle but don’t want to compromise comfort.

The Chevy Tahoe took the second spot for the best large SUV, with CarMax noting the towing capacity is best-in-class. The 5.3-liter V8 engine can tow an estimated 8,600 pounds. It also placed in the top five for the CarMax list of best eight-passenger SUVs. The best-selling vehicle has a starting price of $49,000.

Third on the list is the Buick Enclave, followed by the Chevy Suburban 1500, which took fourth place. This classic large SUV is an integral part of the Chevy lineup.

The beast can handle up to eight passengers, and behind the third row offers 39.3 cubic feet of cargo-carrying space. The Suburban also ranked as the number one luxury SUV, with CarMax noting its long list of standard features and high-performance engine options. It has a starting price of $51,700.

Rounding out the top five on the CarMax list is the Cadillac Escalade, with an MSRP of $76,195. The GMC Yukon, Audi Q7, GMC Yukon XL 1500, Mazda CX-9, and Lexus GX 460 ranked in the second half of the top ten contenders.

When it comes to space, comfort, and capability, Chevy SUVs are second to none. Seven SUVs make up Chevy’s extensive product line. From rugged to refined, there is a model that fits the need of any driver.

The compact Trax accommodates five passengers with a starting price of $21,300. The Trailblazer small crossover is the only new SUV for 2021 with a starting price of less than $20,000.

Chevy’s Equinox ranks in the top five of the crossover SUV segment. It recently outranked the Toyota RAV4. The popular vehicle also tied for first place with the Buick Encore and Nissan Rogue for SUV with the best mpg. The midsize crossover Chevy Blazer has a long-standing history and completes the product line with an MSRP of $28,800.

The Chevy line of SUVs share advanced safety technologies to ensure the driver and passengers arrive at their destination safely.
