There’s much to like about Acura, Honda’s luxury brand. The Acura lineup of luxury cars and SUVs features sleek designs, excellent performance, premium features, and advanced technologies. While some of the Acura models are not affordable for many automotive shoppers, there’s an exception: the 2023 Acura Integra compact luxury sports sedan. It’s the cheapest new Acura car. After more than a decade-and-a-half hiatus, the Integra returns from the dead in full force. This includes recently winning the prestigious North American Car of the Year (NACTOY) award.

With a starting price of $31,300 MSRP, the 2023 Acura Integra is the cheapest new Acura car. The next most affordable Acura models are the 2023 TLX midsize luxury sports sedan ($39,850 MSRP) and the 2023 RDX compact luxury crossover SUV ($41,550 MSRP).

Here are the new Acura cars, ranked from cheapest to most expensive:

  1. 2023 Acura Integra: $31,300 MSRP
  2. 2023 Acura TLX: $39,850 MSRP
  3. 2023 Acura RDX: $41,550 MSRP
  4. 2023 Acura MDX: $49,550 MSRP
  5. 2022 Acura NSX Type S: $169,500 MSRP

Last year, the cheapest new Acura car was the 2022 Acura ILX compact luxury sports sedan ($27,200 MSRP). However, Honda discontinued the ILX, so the Integra supplants it as the most affordable new model in the lineup. Also, 2022 marks the final year of production for the NSX supercar. However, unlike the ILX, the NSX is still up on the Acura site. The supercar says goodbye with a 600-horsepower Type S edition.

Honda discontinued the Integra in 2006, but now it’s back and better than ever

The Integra is an iconic nameplate and played a big part in the growth of the Acura brand. Its original run was from 1985 to 2006. Now, after many thought the luxury car was left for dead, it makes a triumphant return for the 2023 model year. So, not only is the Integra the cheapest new Acura car — but it’s also a fantastic vehicle with its new design.

The 2023 Acura Integra has a sleek look with some standout design features. This includes JewelEye LED headlights, a frameless diamond pentagon grille, muscular rear wheel arches, Chicane LED daytime running lights and taillights, and dual exhaust finishers. There are also unique alloy wheels, which feature performance all-season tires.

Inside the Integra, the cabin has a sporty design, with premium materials and a driver-focused cockpit. Also, the new body-stabilizing seats provide a comfortable ride. Plus, the luxury car offers useful interior technologies, such as the 10.2-inch Acura Precision Cockpit instrument display, an infotainment system touchscreen system (9.0 or 7.0 inches), Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, and a head-up display. And for an exquisite listening experience, there’s the available 16-speaker ELS STUDIO 3D premium audio system.

Engine specs and performance features for the all-new luxury car

On the performance front, the new Integra comes equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It doles out 200 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. Also, buyers of the Integra have a choice of either a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) — or for driving purists, a six-speed manual

Other performance features include a sport-tuned suspension, an adaptive damper system, and a variable-ratio electric power steering system. Also, the luxury car has selectable drive modes, with settings for Sport, Normal, and Comfort — as well as Individual for a customized driving experience.

Affordable 2023 Acura Integra earned the North American Car of the Year award

When Acura first announced the return of the Integra, there were high expectations. The luxury car is beloved by many automotive enthusiasts and forms a pivotal part of the Japanese automaker’s DNA. However, some experts cast doubt on Acura bringing back a sedan into an automotive landscape dominated by large trucks and SUVs.

The all-new 2023 Acura Integra fulfilled its promise, though. And this culminated in it recently winning the North American Car of the Year award. Gary Witzenburg from WardsAuto, one of the NACTOY jurors, said, “Honda’s luxury brand rebirths its second-best original name on its best new car. The Honda Civic-based Acura Integra looks good, drives well, and is among the very few in its (or any) segment offering a slick-shifting manual transmission.”

If you’re looking for an affordable Acura, then check out the 2023 Acura Integra. It’s the cheapest new Acura car — and as evidenced by the North American Car of the Year award, it’s a great choice for a luxury car.
