The 2022 Hyundai Venue earned a 4.0-star expert score on Kelley Blue Book. It has a 4.4-star consumer rating. The Venue isn’t perfect, but it’s incredibly practical for its price.

Should you buy a Hyundai Venue? Probably not if you’re looking for the best subcompact SUV on the market. The 2022 Kia Soul, 2022 Mazda CX-30, and 2022 Hyundai Kona are all better options. That being said, the Venue earned a 4.9/5 from Kelley Blue Book for value. It earned a 4.7/5 for reliability. Maybe this cheap subcompact SUV is underrated because it’s eclipsed by models with more power and better cabin materials.
