Cars and Coffee: Myrtle Beach Style
Old cars, new cars, vintage rides, classic machinery, and even Frank got together at the Cars and Coffee event in Myrtle Beach. The sun shined brightly, blessing us with warmth, pleasant views, and a wonderful way to share a love of cars and enjoy breakfast at the local restaurants. Cars and Coffee is a hit in the Myrtle Beach area; giving residents and visitors something fun to do, especially if you love cars.
Where is the Cars and Coffee meet-up held in Myrtle Beach?

The Cars and Coffee event takes place in the parking lot in front of Bagel Factory 2 in the Myrtle Beach area. This event, held from 8-11 am offers a look at some amazing vehicles, vintage rides, and gives attendees an opportunity to grab breakfast and see some cool cars at the same time.

How did Cars and Coffee get started?

The first such event occurred as a weekly early-morning meeting at Crystal Cove on the coast of Southern California. This original event is now defunct, but the idea spread to many cities around the country and Europe. Today, we see these events in almost every city, offering a place for car owners to show off their rides.

Car owners show off their labors of love

Many who start with a project car look for ways to show off their cars. May projects started off as nothing more than a beat-up junker that feels like it has “good bones” to become what it once was. As owners work to bring their cars back to the glory days, a great way to show them off is with a Cars and Coffee event.

How much does it cost to attend these events?

There’s no admission price and the event is pretty laid back. I arrived at the scene right at 8:00 am, because that’s how I roll, and only found two cars in the parking lot. One was the Ford Mustang Mach 1 pictured above, the other a Chevrolet Camaro SS. It wasn’t long before things got going and many of the other cars showed up to join the fun.

Classic beauties of Cars and Coffee

This gorgeous Chevrolet Corvette is the epitome of the labor of love. After talking to the owner, I gained a strong appreciation for the work and time it takes to take a car from a beat-up junker to the beauty you see.

This gorgeous roadster showed up and stole the show at the Myrtle Beach Cars and Cofee meet-up. It’s easy to see that an incredible amount of work and detail went into this classic ride.

This classic Impala gave us something amazing to see on Sunday morning. The owner was more than generous with his time and even allowed some admirers to sit inside and take a few pictures in the car.
Who is Frank?

Whether you skipped right over it or wondered since the first sentence, Frank is my ride. He isn’t much to look at, but he takes my family where we need to go. Frank is a 1998 Ford Expedition and he works hard to keep us on the road.
Will we see you at the next Cars and Coffee?

The Myrtle Beach event offers an atmosphere that seems ideal. It’s breakfast time, Sunday morning, and waking up to enjoy some cool cars can only make the day right. If you’re in the area on the first Sunday of the month, it’s worth your time to check out some of the cars and trucks that attend the Myrtle Beach Cars and Coffee event.
