Tennessee man carjacked his sister after she offered him a ride
Many people fear becoming the victim of a carjacking, but no one expects the perpetrator to be a close family member. Sadly, this happened to one woman in Tennessee when she decided to offer a ride to her brother. Now, the man is facing charges for the crime, and there’s probably a massive fracture in their once-close relationship.
Suffering a carjacking at the hands of your brother must be traumatizing
According to WREG, a Memphis man, Bobby Metcalf, 42, is being accused of carjacking his sister. The story goes that she picked him up on May 4th in her Mercedes because he needed a ride. Things went normally initially, and she had no reason to be concerned about Bobby. However, things took a turn, and the sister says that Bobby had become “irate” about his phone. It’s unclear what went wrong with his device, but she was unable to calm him.
The carjacking happened when Bobby took the keys from the ignition of the Mercedes. Notably, this happened as they were driving, which probably caused a degree of damage to the vehicle. She said he exited the car and then dragged her from the driver’s seat. The report doesn’t mention if she sustained injuries from the encounter, but it’s extremely possible.
The man is facing charges following the carjacking. He stands to be arraigned for the crime soon. Hopefully, the victim is okay after having been subjected to this abusive behavior by her brother, as she tried to help him. There is no word on what damage this may have done to her car, which the report says is worth $12,000.
