Specifically, the mostly budget-friendly automaker is recalling 137,256 units of the Kia Soul and the Seltos from 2021 to 2023. 

This car recall was caused by possible incorrect manufacturing of some piston oil rings. This mistake could lead to severe engine damage, which is expensive to fix. It can be hard to know if your car has this issue, but drivers can look for signs such as excessive smoke, decreased engine power, and difficulty starting the vehicle. 

Naturally, auto mechanics at Kia dealerships will fix this issue. They will do so by inspecting the engines and issuing replacements where needed. Additionally, the technicians will update the piston ring noise sensing system software on the vehicles. People can look for an official notice from Kia regarding the car recall.
