Today’s vehicles have more technology and features than ever before, making finding the best of the best harder than ever before. And as a connected world, a vehicle’s infotainment system may be at the top of your list of must-haves.

Based on data received from the consumers themselves, Consumer Reports has compiled a list of the car brands with the best built-in infotainment systems. You’ll find the top five of those brands below.

1. Tesla

You don’t have to pick one or two Tesla vehicles to get a great infotainment system. The car brand is known for its advancements in technology, so there should be no surprise that Tesla topped Consumer Reports’ list, with an impressive, customer satisfaction rating of 86%.

Tesla uses over-the-air updates, so every model has the most advanced hardware when it’s available. Tesla vehicles’ central displays can do anything from letting you make phone calls and get directions, to adjust the cameras and scan for pedestrians. As far as capability is concerned, Tesla infotainment systems can do it all. And most of it can be done using your voice.

2. BMW

BMW has been leading the way in high-performing luxury vehicles for decades. Around 80% of customers were completely satisfied with their BMW’s iDrive infotainment system, found in newer models of the 3-Series, 4-Series, 5-Series, and the entire X-lineup.

According to BMW, its infotainment systems focus on making every driving experience a convenient one. Not just capable of managing your calendar, making travel plans, guiding you with navigation, and becoming a mobile hotspot, BMW’s infotainment provides technology to put drivers in control. The system can connect smartphones, devices, and apps onto one, flawless system.

3. Genesis

Luxury brand Genesis models like the G90 are known for their infotainment systems being functional and unobtrusive. The Genesis Display system boasts a 12-inch display in the G90 and an 8-inch display in the G80.

Plus, it offers a bright and crisp display screen that provides satisfaction to 75% of its customers. Phone calls, navigation, and satellite radio are all provided in the blink of an eye. While their infotainment systems offer little in the way of connectivity, it offers everything a driver needs, with impressive reliability.

4. Ford/Lincoln

The latest Sync 3 infotainment system is available on newer Ford and Lincoln models like the Navigator, F-150, and Mustang. The available infotainment systems with Sync 3 received an overall satisfaction rating of 73%, and it’s easy to see why.

Not only is it easy to use, but the infotainment system can do just about everything. Aside from controlling everything within your vehicle, it can give you directions, make phone calls, play music from a variety of sources, help you make dinner plans, and connect to everything you need on your smartphone. According to Ford, Sync 3 is more intuitive than ever, with enhanced voice recognition and the ability to shop from your car.

5. Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, and Ram (FCA)

The UConnect infotainment systems in most new Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, and Rams aim at making life easier for their drivers. With the connected app, you can unlock and even track down your car from your smartphone.

According to the UConnect website, Chrysler models can become mobile hotspots and stream audio through Bluetooth. In Dodge models, UConnect extends to infotainment systems in the rear seats and updates on traffic information. The UConnect system was rated to be overall satisfying to 72% of its customers.
