You ever try to find your car in a Disneyland parking garage? Now imagine searching for a fleeing car thief. Yeah, good luck. That’s the spot one Camaro driver picked to ghost the cops after a high-speed chase through Orange County. They hit triple digits, forced police to pull back, then bailed in a Disneyland garage built to swallow 10,000 cars. This story reads like Fast and Furious meets Fantasia.

Car thief goes full Lightning McQueen before disappearing act

It all started at 7:50 p.m. Monday night near Pacific Coast Highway and Ritz Carlton Drive. Deputies spotted a stolen Chevy Camaro and flipped on the lights. The driver switched on the hyperdrive.

By the time the car hit the 5 Freeway, it was “driving so fast—over 100 miles an hour,” according to KCAL news’ Desmond Shaw. CHP pulled back from the ground pursuit. Air support kept eyes on it, for a minute.

That’s when the suspect made a surprise move—exiting straight into Disneyland property.

Police Disneyland search hits a Goofy snag

At 8 p.m., the stolen Camaro zipped into the Pixar Pals garage, part of Disneyland’s 16,500-space parking fortress. That’s right—this garage was once the world’s largest. Still might be the trickiest to escape. Or, apparently, to search.

Police swarmed the Disneyland scene. They sealed it off. And they found the car—empty.

Anaheim PD believed the suspect “ran to the second floor but did not immediately find them.” Police officers vowed to “clear the second and third floors.” But no word yet if they checked Toontown.

Magic Kingdom, meet mischief kingdom

Officials said up to four suspects might’ve bailed. It’s not clear if they slipped into the park or darted back into the streets. Either way, the chase ended inside The Happiest Place on Earth. Not so happy for the guests trapped in the park.

One parkgoer revealed, “We were at Disneyland tonight and we had to wait a long time to be allowed to take the tram back to our car.”

Will police find the Disneyland escapees?

It’s unclear if security footage caught anything. The police haven’t shared any news from the Disneyland chase for a day. The magic trick? Still unsolved.

No updates. No arrests. Just a sports car, an empty driver’s seat, and a whole lot of questions. Whoever ditched that Camaro didn’t just escape—they made a disappearing act worthy of the Magic Kingdom. But don’t let the mouse ears fool you: racing through traffic and hiding in a family theme park isn’t clever—it’s criminal and wildly dangerous. You can see the coverage in the video embedded below:
