Burglary Suspects Wreck Multiple Cars in Nightmare Miami Police Chase

 A police pursuit in Northwest Miami-Dade came to a damaging conclusion, leaving at least four people injured and three suspects in custody. The chaos, which stemmed from a reported burglary, escalated rapidly when the suspects chose to flee from law enforcement.

The pursuit began when deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop near the intersection of Northwest 98th Street and 22nd Avenue. The suspects refused to comply with the deputies’ orders and sped away, triggering a dangerous chase through the city streets. The pursuit ultimately came to a crashing halt at Northwest 95th Street and 27th Avenue.

According to on-the-scene reporting from CBS News Miami’s Nikiya Carrero, the fleeing suspects ended up crashing here into multiple vehicles, one of those vehicles was flipped on its side.

Injuries and Aftermath

In the aftermath, law enforcement and cleanup crews quickly moved to secure the area, using tow trucks to clear the wreckage and debris scattered across the road. A search of the suspects’ vehicle revealed a dangerous collection of weapons. Authorities confirmed at the scene that a rifle and a handgun were recovered from the inside of the car.

The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office stated that three people were taken into custody as a result of this chase. Emergency medical responders transported at least four individuals involved in the wreck to local hospitals. They were reported to be in stable condition, though officials added that it is still unclear exactly how many people in total were injured in this multi-vehicle collision.
